My current body of work is comprised of a series of Household Abstractions, which combine geometry, household objects, textiles, clothing and tools. Light and shadow also play an important role, as the shadow lines become an integral part of the final composition. Minimalism is a quest to eliminate every excess in order to find what is truly meaningful. It helps us to create a space free from distractions and to consider those things that are most important. As I explore minimalist sculpture through my love of everyday objects and textiles, I find I am able to pause and consider the essential truths of life. My hope is for others to join me on this journey.
It is only in the realm of doubt that we engage in the pursuit of truth. --Mortimer Adler
